Songimvelo, the largest nature reserve in Southern Africa, takes its name from the siSwati phrase meaning “we are conserving nature.” Spanning over 490 square kilometres along the South Africa–Eswatini border, the reserve provides a vast, tranquil sanctuary for elephants, white rhinos, and the region’s largest population of buffalo. A symbol of preservation and harmony, Songimvelo reminds us of the importance of protecting and nurturing nature for future generations.
